Need An Emergency Dentist?
It’s good to know that when you need an emergency dentist, patients can count on the team at Beyond Infinity Dental to meet their needs. Our highly skilled team of general dentists, practitioners and oral surgeons are here to help
We know that if you have a dental emergency it doesn’t always occur during working hours. For this reason, if you are in pain or have suffered an accident such as a knocked out or broken tooth or teeth, the first thing you should do is to call us.
During working hours you should…
Contact us on (02) 8806 3799.
Our skilled team will talk with you to understand what your dental problem is. From this, we can usually ascertain two things. Firstly – it could be that your situation needs to be dealt with but isn’t an immediate dental emergency, such as a loose cosmetic dental crown. For this reason, the reception team will book you in for an appointment at your earliest convenience.
Alternatively, if your call is deemed to be an urgent dental emergency then we will offer you our first available emergency appointment. In the meantime, we will also give you hints and tips on what you can do to protect the tooth/teeth further, during the short period until you see us.
What about if you need an emergency dentist during out of hours periods?
As we’re here to help you whenever you need, we have a designated mobile number given only to our patients who can use it to call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Ask our reception for more details.
When you call our emergency dentist, one of our team will assess the situation over the phone and will either book an appointment for you to come in the next day or will treat you at our clinic immediately.
In urgent dental emergency cases, it may be that you need to visit the closest emergency room. Alternatively, we will do what we can to get you out of pain and to temporarily fix the situation. Then we will make an appointment for you to complete the treatment at our dental clinic in NSW, the next working day.
Tips and guidelines for dental emergencies:
Step 1: Contact our team at Beyond Infinity Dental and explain your situation and we will offer you our first available emergency appointment.
Step 2: Ensure the area is kept clean by rinsing and flossing. You may consume a painkiller to help control the pain, however, you should never apply aspirin or any other painkiller directly against the gums or problem tooth.
If you become ill and are experiencing swelling or a temperature, we suggest you attend our practice or closest emergency room immediately.
Step 1: Hold the tooth by the crown ‘bottom’ and not the root. Rinse off with water if it’s dirty but do not scrub or remove any attached tissue fragments.
If it is possible, gently insert the tooth the right way back in its socket and hold in position. If this action is not possible, place the tooth in a cup of milk or wrap it in Cling/Glad Wrap.
Step 2: Contact our team at Beyond Infinity Dental as soon as possible.
Step 1: Apply cold compresses gently to control swelling.
Step 2: Contact Beyond Infinity Dental or your local emergency department immediately.
Our dentist applies a whitening gel containing hydrogen peroxide on to your teeth. This is then activated with a special handpiece that disperses diffused laser light over a broader area of teeth to whiten your smile quickly and evenly. The level of laser energy is tailored to your sensitivity to make your experience more comfortable.
Step 1: Rinse your mouth with warm water to clean the area. Place a cold compression on the area to keep any swelling down.
Step 2: Contact Beyond Infinity Dental immediately for further advice.
