Like most dental payment plans in Australia, patients can expect to pay a one-off, set-up fee. In this case, that fee is just $70.00 Then you pay an $8.00 per month recurring fee. You’re then free to use your flexible National Dental Plan as you see fit.
When patients apply for the National Dental Plan, their application is quickly assessed and they can be approved for up to $12,000. This allows them to receive many treatments that might not be covered by standard health insurance policies such as dental implants, dental veneers and other cosmetic dental work.
In the vast majority of cases, patients can expect to pay 20% of the cost of treatment when they take out a National Dental Plan. This is normally charged on the day of treatment if it’s a single-visit treatment, or towards the end of a specific treatment if multiple visits are required.
Like most dental plans in NSW, the process is both efficient and straightforward and allows patients to apply online from the comfort of their own home. The process takes only a few minutes to complete but do bear in mind that in order to qualify, you will need the following:
- An Australian bank account or credit card in order to process repayments
- Employment – You must be employed or self/employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Australian citizenship or be able to show proof of permanent residency

- You must be 18 years of age or over and
- Be able to present a valid driving licence.
Yes! If you’re a pensioner with proof of income or a veteran, we accept those too.
Patients should note that payments for the National Dental Plan are directly debited every fortnight from your nominated credit card or bank account making payments both affordable and manageable.
The beauty of the National Dental Plan lies in its flexibility. Ultimately it allows you to pay off as much as you like, provided it’s above the minimum fortnightly payment. What’s more, there are no hidden fees or redemption clauses for early repayment, so you can pay treatments off as quickly as you like without incurring any extra costs.
If your bank notifies the company that the repayment has been unsuccessful, then a further payment will be attempted that same day. If this is unsuccessful then the company will contact you by email, phone or SMS in order to make arrangements to receive the payment and to re-establish the plan.
